PPM name change.

PPM Ventures, the private equity arm of UK insurer Prudential, has changed its name to PPM Capital. The firm will continue to manage all direct private equity investment activity in Europe, while the fund of funds activity will operate under the business name of PPM Managers.

The firm has also made a number of appointments. Ian Oxley Swan joins the London office as an investment director from JP Morgan Partners’ private equity division along with Alex Stirling, also an investment director, from Apax. PPM has made a number of promotions, with James Barton, Sally Flanagan and Geraldine Kennell all named as directors in the business services, healthcare and financial services sectors respectively. Additionally, Cameron Crockett and Adam Maidment are promoted to Investment Director.

In the Munich office, Rainer Schwarz joins as an associate from Société Générale, and Guido May is promoted to director of PPM Capital and Peter Jansenberger to associate director. Maelenn Natral joins the Paris office as an investment manager from KBC Bank in Paris.
