Private Equity – Venturedome launches private equity portal

Venturedome has announced the launch of what it describes as the first internet portal dedicated to entrepreneurs and the UK private equity community. The site, by the name of venturedome.com, will provide a range of services including: self-help guides for potential entrepreneurs and company executives; search services for entrepreneurs to help them identify the right investors and advisers; and a news service covering all aspects of the private equity market.

Says Darren Neylon, Venturedome chief executive: “By attracting corporate executives, entrepreneurs and companies wishing to raise capital, the site will enable existing and potential private equity market participants to connect, interact, exchange information and capture opportunities.”

Neylon was formerly a member of the acquisition finance division at NM Rothschild. He is joined in the new venture by Paul Deakin (finance director), formerly a corporate finance partner at Arthur Andersen, and Ian Green (editorial director), formerly editor of Yorkshire Business Insider.

Venturedome has the backing of Springboard Venture Managers, the independent AIM-listed incubator of venture management teams, which owns 42.3 per cent of the company. Stephen Ross, chief executive of Springboard and a former 3i director, is a non-executive director of Venturedome.
