Probitas appoints

Probitas Partners has made three new appointments: Roger Pett to the position of director in London, Jack Wills as vice president based at the San Francisco office, and Jeff Mills to the position of associate.

Pett was formerly the founder and managing director of Eiger Capital SA, a private equity fund-of-funds investor and adviser in Luxembourg. Prior to Eiger, he was head of equity investment at the European Investment Fund, a Luxembourg-based investor in technology funds across Europe. Previously, Pett was a director of 3i in the UK, where his responsibilities over 18 years included UK and international private equity investments, international development, and fund raising.

He joins Joseph Porterfield and Ritesh Doshi on Probitas Partners’ London team. Joseph has eighteen years of industry experience and was formerly a director at American International Group. Ritesh joined Probitas Partners from the Private Fund Group of Credit Suisse First Boston and has three years of industry experience.

Jack Wills is a former vice president with Citigroup Private Equity, where he represented the group in its West Coast technology-focused private equity investment activity. While at Citigroup, he was responsible for investment research, due diligence and fund selection, and portfolio oversight, as well as managing and restructuring under-performing fund investments. Prior to joining Citigroup, Wills was an attorney practising at the law firms of Perkins Coie and Cooley Godward.

Jeff Mills joins Probitas’ relationship management team from Siebel Systems. There he managed the company’s global relationship with Capgemini, one of Siebel’s larger systems integrator relationships. Prior to working at Siebel he served seven years as a helicopter pilot in the US Army in locations throughout the United States and South Korea.
