British private equity firm 3i has promoted Simon Borrows to chief executive, Reuters reported. He replaces Michael Queen, who had been in the post for a little more than three years.

Accordion Partners has promoted Sonny Thadani to chief of staff, and Mow Wong to chief operating officer. New York-based Accordion Partners provides deal and project execution services to private equity firms.

Phil Kleweno, a longtime Bain & Co. partner and the former chief executive of Princess Cruises, has been tapped to lead the firm’s Washington D.C. offices as a managing director. Kleweno began his career at Bain in 1985 in the firm’s Boston office.

Bertram Capital has promoted Ingrid Swenson to partner from managing director. Swenson, who is Bertram’s CFO, oversees all of the buyout firm’s finance, administrative and internal information technology activities.
