Comments – SealedMedia has raised £11 million in a new round of funding. The financing was led by Pond Venture Partners who were joined by Crescendo Ventures and 3i, who have all taken part in previous rounds of financing.

SealedMedia provides cross-media Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology for security applications and online publishing. This technology enables publishers and information producers to seal content and makes it possible to safely package, sell and distribute text, audio, graphic and video content online. It gives robust and persistent protection for multiple types of digital content, including pdf, html, gif, jpeg, MP3 audio and Quicktime video.

Richard Irving, CEO of Pond Ventures, said: “We have seen SealedMedia make impressive strides in both technology and business development since its inception. We are very confident SealedMedia will now not only be able to ride out current economic conditions, but ultimately secure a leadership position in the promising DRM market segment.”
