Siliquent sold to Broadcom

Broadcom has acquired Siliquent providing an exit for investors Alta Berkeley, Benchmark, Greylock and Thomas Weisel Partners. The company received four rounds of venture funding between 2001 and 2004. Broadcom will pay around $76m for the business. The return on the transaction has not been disclosed.

Siliquent Technologies is a fabless semiconductor company with annual revenue of more than $2bn. The company is headquartered in Irvine, California with office and research facilities in North America, Asia and Europe. Founded in 2001, the company has 59 employees.
