UK buy & build specialist Sovereign Capital, the UK private equity buy & build specialist, appointed Taha Hasan as an investment manager and Tom Matthews as investment executive.
Hasan joins from Summit Partners where he was responsible for identifying companies and establishing relationships with their senior management and owners in order to source proprietary deals. He was previously with Deloitte Consulting where he worked as a strategy consultant across a range of business disciplines.
Matthews joins from the corporate finance team at Macquarie Bank where he focussed on healthcare acquisitions. Prior to Macquarie, he gained substantial transaction experience at Deloitte Corporate Finance, both in London and Sydney.
The firm has also appointed a researcher in the shape of Sarah Pratt as a researcher.
She joins from Citigroup Global Markets where she was a researcher supporting an investment banking team. She holds a post graduate diploma in Management Studies from Greenwich School of Management, following an English and Philosophy degree from Rhodes University in South Africa.
She will support Sovereign’s ongoing research in its defined service based sectors of education & training, healthcare and support services.
