Special report: Manufacturing and Industrials

Our special report takes a look at the manufacturing and industrials sector, including a keynote article by MidddleGround Capital's John Stewart.

Our keynote interview with John Stewart of MiddleGround Capital reveals that just as there were record levels of manufacturing and industrial sector dealmaking last year, 2022 is starting in the same vein despite recessionary fears. As Stewart puts it: “There were so many deals in the market at the end of 2021 that investment banks were saying certain sponsors didn’t have the resources to look at all the opportunities. That led banks to pull deals back into the start of this year, which has gotten off to a robust start.”

In this report we also take a look at how some PE firms are not only cleaning up industrial companies that are high-carbon emitters, but they are also demanding more than lip service from those companies when it comes to environmental issues.

We also take a look at how companies are handling the Great Resignation, as private equity owners, facing a manufacturing worker exodus, are reconsidering their attraction and retention strategies.

Finally, we chat with Robert Reifman of Lincoln International about industrial sector investment trends.
