Swiss spine specialist raises €7m

Spinelab, a Swiss medical technology company developing spine stablising implants, has raised CHF11m (€7m) in a series B round.

Swiss VCs BioMedinvest and VI Partners led the investment, returning from the A round, along with US healthcare investor Acceleration International, the Zurich Cantonal Bank and others.

The Winterthur-based business also attracted new investors in the shape of German venture house SHS and private investor network BrainsToVentures, which is headquartered in St Gallen.
