Transitions: Indosuez Appoints New Lending VP –

Indosuez Capital, the merchant banking and asset management arm of Credit Agricole Indosuez, this month appointed William Ziglar as senior vice president and head of loan syndication in its merchant banking group.

“What I can bring to the plate is my sales and underwriting experiences,” Ziglar said. “It’s an entrepreneurial atmosphere here with a great group of guys, and I am very excited to be a part of it.”

Prior to joining Indosuez Capital, Ziglar served as director and group head of loan syndications at Gleacher & Co., an advisory and principal investment firm.

In his new capacity, Ziglar will be responsible for all aspects of loan syndication at Indosuez Capital, which includes focusing on managing and developing Indosuez Capital’s relationships with institutional leveraged loan and mezzanine investors. Ziglar will report to Ken Kencel, co-head of Indosuez Capital.

“Will’s experience in middle-market credits is exactly what we were looking for and we’re happy to have him aboard,” Kencel said.

Kencel also said that there are a fair number of firms that will buy middle market transactions in what is increasingly becoming a more specialized syndication market. “The sub-$200 million middle-market syndication has become a more specialized process and generally require a significant amount of due diligence and credit focus,” he said. “And we’ve found over time that our deal flow has continued to increase and having a more specialized syndication function is important from the standpoint of marketing transactions and also maintaining a dialogue with middle-market buyers.”

Indosuez Capital was founded in 1992 and invests in middle-market leveraged transactions.
