Video Pitch Contest

Shoot a 30-second spot with your mobile phone, upload it to the MyWaves Lounge and win a trip to Silicon Valley to pitch your idea in person to Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Redpoint and Menlo Ventures.

The contest is hosted by MyWaves, a startup based in Sunnyvale, Calif. developing a service for sharing videos on your mobile phone. It collected a $6 million Series A from Menlo Ventures in November. GigaOM has a review of the startup.

The contest judges will be Matt Murphy, Scott Raney, Mark Siegel and Sameer Gandhi. And the winning plan is “guaranteed 6 months of free office rent at a startup incubation facility in the heart of Silicon Valley,” the MyWaves site says.

Too bad the pitches won’t be made public. They’d be more interesting to watch than the dogs eating peanut butter they’ve got on the site now.
