Comments – Stockholm-based Voice Provider has raised SKr6 million in second round venture capital funding from Ledstiernan AB, 2M Invest, Telenor Venture and Mobile Garden.

The Swedish company was founded by six individuals in October 2000 and is led by CEO Michael Carlquist, who comes from Europolitan/Vodafone where he was responsible for company strategies concerning voice-enabled services.

Voice Provider offers products for voice-enabled services that create new business opportunities with mobile availability, with a view to assisting companies in developing customer service and reducing company expenses. The fresh capital raised will be used to further expand into the Nordic region and continue “spreading the word” to Voice Provider’s current and future clients.

Voice Provider first received investment from Mobile Garden in November 2000 and secured its first round of venture capital funding from Ledstiernan, together with 2M Invest and Norwegian Telenor Ventures in April 2001.

The investing firms now hold 55% of the share capital of Voice Provider.
