American Industrial Partners has closed its eighth fund at a hard cap of $5 billion.

American Industrial Partners Capital Fund VIII’s limited partners include pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, fund of funds and family offices.

Acalyx Advisors and Finex Hong Kong Limited served as placement advisors for Fund VIII while Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP provided legal counsel.

Based in New York City, AIP targets industrial companies. The firm currently manages approximately $16 billion on behalf of its limited partners.
