Apax Partners raises about $900m for global impact fund

The fund will invest in companies with products and services that tackle environmental or social issues.

Apax Partners has closed its global impact fund at about $900 million.

The fund will invest in companies with products and services that tackle environmental or social issues.

AGI’s limited partners include private and public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, fund of funds, insurance companies, endowments and charitable foundations.

Apax’s impact team is co-led by Managing Partners Alykhan Nathoo and David Su.

On the fundraising, Jason Wright, chair of Apax’s global impact strategy, said in a statement, “We want to thank AGI’s limited partners for their support. We’re incredibly excited by the possibilities within the burgeoning impact space, and this successful fundraise is testament to our distinctive and differentiated proposition.”

Based in New York, Apax has raised and advised funds with aggregate commitments of more than $65 billion.
