Apiary Capital collects £240m for sophomore fund

Apiary Capital, a UK-based private equity firm, has closed its second fund at £240 million, beating its £200 million target.

Fund II’s limited partners include endowments & foundations, public and private pensions, consultants, fund of funds and family offices.

Apiary focuses on the UK lower mid-market.

On the fundraising, Apiary Capital founder and Managing Partner Mark Salter, said in a statement, “We would like thank our investors for their support. Rede Partners acted as global fundraising advisor while Proskauer was legal counsel.

Apiary Capital targets the business, financial, technology, education and healthcare services sectors. Typically, it invests in companies valued at between £10 million and £75 million.
