Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has confirmed a further $30 million commitment to Alpine Investors’ eighth buyout fund, according to materials from the pension’s September 2021 board meeting.

ATRS made a $30 million to Alpine Investors VIII, a North American-focused, TMT buyout fund in January 2021. Last month, it confirmed an additional $30 million had also been committed.

The $21.2 billion US public pension has a 12.6 percent current allocation to private equity and, as illustrated below, tends to target North America-focused vehicles pursuing a variety of sectors.
