Bruno Deschamps has joined the Clayton, Dubilier & Rice team, based in the firm’s European headquarters London office. Deschamps was formerly president and chief operating officer of Ecolab and is well known in Europe and the US as a skilled manager of complex business transformations and for successfully implementing growth strategies in a number of challenging industrial and consumer businesses.
During his tenure at Ecolab the company implemented strategic growth initiatives that transformed the company into the worldwide leader in the cleaning and sanitation products and services industries. Revenues grew by over 50 per cent to $3 billion, primarily through the successful integration of the European businesses.
Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has also appointed Christopher Spencer as partner. He will be based in the firm’s European headquarters in London. Spencer will join the firm in December and joins from Candover where he set up the firm’s Paris office. He has extensive pan-European private equity experience having worked closely with European management teams in a number of countries including Germany and the Benelux region.
