CapMan Technology makes the grade

The fund is one of the largest technology funds ever raised in the Nordic countries.<br A total of 12 Nordic institutions have invested in the CapMan Technology 2007 fund. CapMan Plc’s commitment to the fund is €15m.

Jerome Bouix, CapMan senior partner and head of investor services, said: “Fundraising for the fund was successful despite the challenging market situation, so we are very satisfied with the result. Fundraising was a success due to CapMan Technology’s later stage investment focus which has guided the team’s actions for a long time now, the team’s local presence in the Nordic countries, and CapMan’s strong performance in managing the assets of institutional investors.”

The fund’s investment focus is on expansion and later stage technology companies and the team has already invested in four new portfolio companies. The turnover of portfolio companies typically exceeds €2m and the size of the fund’s investment is between €3m and €15m of equity. Recent investments include the Finnish Mawell Oy, a supplier of ICT solutions to the healthcare sector, the Swedish KMW Energi AB, a manufacturer of biofuel plants, Finnish Movial Applications Oy, a developer of IP communications software and Danish IT2 Holding ApS, a developer of software for the financial sector.
