Florida SBA approves over $150m in commitments

The Tallahassee-based public pension fund has backed three North American private equity vehicles.

Florida Retirement System Trust Fund has approved $150 million-worth of commitments across three private equity funds, according to the Q3 new managers report on the pension’s website.

The fund commitments comprise $60 million to Falfurrias Capital Partners V, $75 million to TrueBridge Capital Partners Fund VII and $15.75 million to Blue Water Energy Fund I.

Florida SBA has a 6 percent target allocation to private equity, which currently stands at 9 percent.
