General Atlantic racks up $3.5bn for inaugural BeyondNetZero fund

The fund will invest in climate solutions.

General Atlantic has closed its inaugural BeyondNetZero fund at about $3.5 billion.

The fund will invest in climate solutions.

BeyondNetZero fund’s limited partners include several strategic investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, multinational corporations and global institutional investors.

General Atlantic launched BeyondNetZero in July 2021.

Since the fund’s inception, BeyondNetZero has deployed $826 million in various companies. Among the fund’s investments include 80 Acres Farms, a sustainable vertical farming company; and RoadRunner Recycling, a technology-enabled marketplace for commercial recycling and waste removal.

Formed in 1980, General Atlantic has over $73 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2022.
