LAFPP commits $30m to DFJ Growth

DFJ Growth V is targeting a final close of $825m and held an interim close on nearly $392.3m in March.

Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System announced a private equity commitment worth $30 million to DFJ Growth V during its recent meeting.

DFJ Growth V is a growth equity fund that targets investments in North America and Asia-Pacific regions across a diversified range of sectors. The fund is targeting a final close of $825 million and held an interim close on $392.27 million in March. Its predecessor fund held a final close of $995.45 million.

The US pension fund is currently overallocated to private equity at 16.94 percent, well above its target of 15 percent. LAFPP recent private equity commitments have tended to focus on the North American region as illustrated below.
