Notably, New York-based buyout shop CCMP Capital Advisors LLC closed its latest buyout and growth equity vehicle, CCMP Capital Investors III LP, with $3.6 billion in commitments from institutional investors.

On the deals front, U.S.-based financial sponsors completed 1,159 transactions in the year through Sept. 19, resulting in $96.43 billion in deal volume for those that disclosed their financial terms, according to Thomson Reuters, publisher of Buyouts. In the most recent two-week period measured, between Sept. 8 and Sept. 19, 32 deals were completed that added over $1.2 billion to this year’s deal volume.

The largest transaction of the period was completed by IBC Capital Ltd, a subsidiary of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, to acquire the entire share capital of Goodpack Ltd, a provider of metal box system renting and leasing for 2.50 Singapore dollars ($1.991) cash per share for a total value of 1.399 billion Singapore dollars ($1.114 billion) through a scheme of arrangement.
