PE firms appear to be betting big on technology. As of November 2018, 1,079 tech-focused PE-backed deals were announced, Preqin reports. That’s slightly behind the total for 2017 (1,096). What’s more, tech-focused assets under management reached a record in March 2018 at $569 billion.
