Investment bank Goldman Sachs and law firm Kirkland & Ellis dominated rival advisers on completed M&A deals through the first three quarters of 2018, according to league tables from Thomson Reuters.
Goldman worked on the largest number of deals across several industries, geographic locations and deals valued at up to and including $2 billion. The investment bank also led in several categories when ranked by deal volume.
Meantime, Kirkland & Ellis trounced other legal advisers across the board when ranked by number of completed deals, though it maintained only a slight lead in certain categories when ranked by deal volume.
