UK growth house MMC Ventures has invested £1.3m in Clash-Media, an internet company which enables businesses to measure return on marketing expenditure.
With offices already present in the UK, US, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and France, this equity injection will be used to expand into Spain and Italy.
Clash-Media specializes in online lead generation, a service which collects and manages prospective customer data for its clients – which includes groups like AXA and Toyota – which produce leads for the clients to use to deliver a return on their advertising outlay.
MMC first invested in Clash-Media in June 2007, and this latest funding round takes MMC’s total investment to £4.9m.
Ben Richardson, investment manager at MMC who led the investment, said: “Clash-Media is well positioned in this market as it allows its customers to clearly measure return on marketing spend. Last year the business grew at over 100 pc per annum and we think this is a good time to be investing in growth businesses – we are delighted to support Clash-Media with further funding to enable its next growth phase.”
