This latest round of funding will be used to strengthen DCT’s senior team with the priority being to appoint an industry experienced chief executive. It will also be used to launch its first standard microcontroller part and increase sales and marketing activities.

Dr Paul Castle, chief executive of MTI, commented: MTI’s latest round of investment in DCT illustrates our confidence in the company and its world-class products and technology. Despite the difficult climate in the technology sector, UK companies such as DCT with first class technology addressed to burgeoning markets will find a ready supply of funding from MTI and its peers. MTI first invested in DCT as a pre-start-up situation, and we expect to continue to support its growth and development through to full scale operations and conspicuous commercial success.”
