N+1 chases Swiss finance

Spanish private equity firm N+1 has teamed up with Swiss financial group SYZ & CO to target the financial asset management sector in Switzerland.

The arrangement sees SYZ & CO taking a 50% stake in the asset management arm of N+1 and will see the business change its name to N+1 SYZ Gestión. It already has €245m under management which includes twenty SICAVs and portfolios under management and/or advisory, two investment funds, and investment advisory contracts for two financial entities on their funds of hedge funds.

Santiago Eguidazu, Chairman of N+1, said: “The alliance with SYZ reinforces N+1’s capacity to offer its customers specialised financial management services. This strategic agreement will enable us to rely on a extensive team of asset managers, with strong international research capabilities and a broad range of investment strategies”.
