European technology venture capital firm, nCoTec, which focuses on enabling technologies supporting the wireless Internet, has appointed Jacob Philipson as head of its operation in Scandinavia. The company is also relocating its office in Stockholm to Skeppsbron 34.
Philipson has ten years’ experience in communications software and operational support systems (OSS) from working with Ericsson Hewlett Packard (EHPT), Architel and Nortel Networks in Europe, Asia and Australia.
In his new position, Philipson will have specific responsibility for developing new business and identifying investment opportunities in Scandinavia and within the communications/OSS software sectors across Europe, supported by the team in London and Stockholm.
nCoTec has also appointed Andy Halsall as an associate in its London office. He has over seven years’ experience in the venture capital and software industry with McKinsey and IBM.
