On the Move: Genstar promotes Ramakrishnan, Bravia Capital promotes De Fronze

PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS

Genstar Capital promoted Sid Ramakrishnan to principal. Ramakrishnan originally joined Genstar in 2012 as an associate and rejoined in 2017 as vice president.

David Yates joined Siris as an executive partner. Previously, Yates served as president of Mastercard’s new payment platforms and as executive chairman of VocaLink, a Mastercard company.

Tarang Katira, a 34-year old principal at Hamilton Lane, resigned from the firm in mid-July after reportedly telling the firm he would plead guilty to assault charges, the Wall Street Journal reported. Katira is based in London.

S Cap named Michael W. Walsh as both venture partner and vice president of finance and administration. The investment firm, which focuses on food and beverage and cleantech companies, also appointed Arjan Overwater as an adviser.

LFM Capital named John Patton as business development manager and Wilson Ren as a senior associate. Previously, Patton worked at Optum while Ren was at Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company Inc.

Andreesseen Horowitz announced that it’s expanding its fintech team with the addition of Anish Acharya as the firm’s newest general partner. Previously, Acharya was with Credit Karma.

Prostar Capital appointed Garrett Sussman as head of portfolio management and Brooke Callaghan as head of investor relations. Previously, Sussman worked at KPMG, while Callaghan was at Apollo Management Holdings LP.

French private equity secondaries firm BEX Capital appointed Thomas Carbonel as operating partner. He is the former investment director at Astorg.

Pharos Capital Group promoted Ryan Shelton to principal. Shelton joined the firm in 2006.

Intervale Capital promoted Patrick Conroy to principal. Previously, Conroy worked at Goldman Sachs.

Flare Capital Partners promoted Vic Lanio to principal. He joined the firm in July 2017 as a senior associate.

TSG Consumer Partners named William Cooling as a managing director in New York. He previously worked at Jefferies as managing director and head of consumer/retail mergers and acquisitions.

General Atlantic appointed Vittorio Colao as a special adviser. Colao is former group chief executive of Vodafone Group Plc.

Healthcare PE firm Health Enterprise Partners promoted Elizabeth Colonna to vice president and hired Jessie Laurash as senior associate. Colonna was previously a senior consultant at FTI Consulting, while Laurash is an ex-director of operations for MediQuire.

Target Partners named Wolfram Drescher as a venture partner. He is a co-founder of Airrays and a co-founder of Systemonic, which was acquired by Philips.

Olympus Partners promoted Ozan Cubukcu to vice president. He joined the firm in 2016 as an associate.

Monarch Private Capital promoted Ian Chomat to chief financial officer. Prior to joining the firm, Chomat worked as a controller.

The Dementia Discovery Fund (DDF), a venture capital fund that invests in therapeutics for age-related dementias, named Jonathan Behr as a partner. Behr previously worked at the JDRF T1D fund. DDF is managed by SV Health Investors.

Kymera Therapeutics Inc, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based biotech company, named Nello Mainolfi as president and Bruce Jacobs as chief financial officer. Kymera’s backers include 6 Dimensions Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners and Pfizer Ventures.

People.ai named Robin Ritenour to lead global business development, partnerships and channels, and appointed Dana Ray as senior vice president of people. The San Francisco-based creator of AI-powered revenue operations is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Iconiq Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Y Combinator.

IBH Population Health, a provider of managed behavioral health and employee assistance programs, named Dan Clark as CEO. Previously, Clark was CEO of leso Digital Health. IBH is a portfolio company of Periscope.

SouthStar Urgent Care appointed Laura Miller as president and chief operating officer. SouthStar is backed by Shore Capital Partners.

Host Analytics, a provider of connected financial planning solutions, named Grant Halloran as CEO. Previously, he was the chief commercial officer at OmniSci. Host Analytics is backed by Vector Capital.

Symplr hired Jordan Copland as chief financial officer and Brian Fugere as chief marketing officer. Symplr, a healthcare governance and compliance software-as-a-service platform, is backed by Clearlake Capital Group and SkyKnight Capital.

Latham Pool Products named James E. Clineto its board of directors. Latham is backed by Pamplona Capital Management and Wynnchurch Capital.

Turning Technologies, a provider of learning solutions, named Kenneth Frank as CEO. Previously, Frank was CEO of Kibo Software. Turning Technologies is backed by Centre Lane Partners LLC.

Jefferies named Jonathan Slone as chairman of Asia. Slone, who will be based in Hong Kong, is former chairman and CEO of CLSA Ltd.

BlackArch Partners named John Leak as managing director. Previously, Leak was a senior member of Wells Fargo Securities’ healthcare investment banking group.

Elgin Thompson joined JMP Securities as a managing director in its technology investment banking group. Thompson was previously a managing director at Digital Capital Advisors.

Accordion appointed Junaid Samnani as managing director. Previously, Samnani worked at Riveron Consulting.

Northern Trust named Robert Mullally to lead business development for the private capital administration practice in North America.

SierraConstellation Partners appointed Basil Karampelas head of the firm’s Houson office. SCP provides interim management and advisory services to middle-market companies. Previously, Karampelas was managing director for an unnamed national advisory firm.

Family office Bravia Capital promoted Rinarisa Coronel De Fronze to chief administrative officer. She also serves as chief legal counsel. Previously, De Fronze was general counsel and chief compliance officer for The Archstone Partnerships.

Teachers Retirement System of the State of Illinois appointed Jose Gonzalez to lead its emerging manager program. Gonzales joined TRS in 2015 as a senior investment analyst in public investment markets.
