Pantheon boosts team

Following the acquisition of Pantheon by Russell, three investment professionals from Russell’s fund-of-funds business have joined Pantheon. Helen Steers, who has worked for Russell for five years and was head of the group’s private equity business in Europe, becomes a partner in the European investment team working out of the London office and also joins Pantheon’s international investment committee. She has 15 years’ private equity experience including both fund and direct investment.

Investment manager Nicolas Drapeau from Russell’s European team and associate Karl Sheer from the US team will be based in Pantheon’s London and San Fransisco offices, respectively. Both have over six years’ private equity experience.

Also recently vice president Paul Ward joined Pantheon’s global secondary team working closely with partner Elly Livingstone out of the London office. Prior to joining Pantheon in August 2003, Ward was investment director in Lehman Brothers’ private equity group.
