Penta backs MBO of IDSS

Penta Capital Partners, a UK private equity firm, has bought IDSS Holdings Ltd from fellow lower mid-market player Aberdeen Asset Managers Growth Capital. The deal values the electronic solutions business at around £25m.

Aberdeen Asset Managers has sold ID Support Services to Penta Capital Partners in a deal that values the company at around £25m (€32m).

Yorkshire Bank provided a debt package to support the deal.

Penta plans further investment to grow the business and secure its position as a service provider to blue-chip, multi-site customers in the retail, public, leisure and commercial sectors.

In the year to 30 June 2008 IDSS has grown by 42% with revenues of £26.5m. The group acquired ID Intact Ltd in November 2007 and GK Scotia in December the same year.
