Jeffrey Bird has been named a managing director with Sutter Hill Ventures, where he will focus on health-care investing. He was previously a partner with Three Arch Partners.

Greg Goldfarb, most recently at Starwood Innovation Lab, has joined Summit Accelerator as an associate. Goldfarb was placed at Summit by New York-based Glocap Search LLC.

William Heyman has been named executive vice president and chief investment officer of The St. Paul Companies. He was previously chairman of Citigroup investments, and succeeds Michael Wright at St. Paul.

Scott Naisbitt has joined St. Louis-based RiverVest Venture Partners as an associate. He was previously an associate with Seedling Enterprises. RiverVest also announced last week that it has signed on Floyd Bloom as a scientific advisor.

Michael O’Brien has been named a partner at the law firm of Goodwin Proctor LLP. O’Brien, who represents private equity funds, was previously a partner with O’Sullivan LLP.

Tom Perlmutter has joined Behrman Capital as a principal. Prior to joining Behrman Capital, Perlmutter worked at Desai Capital Management, where he led investments totaling over $265 million.

Timothy Wollaeger has joined Sanderling Ventures as managing director of the firm’s new San Diego office. Wollaenger was most recently a general partner of Kingsbury Associates.

Daniel Yoo has joined Vienna, VA-based Global Internet Ventures as an associate. He was previously with Epoch Partners. Yoo was placed at Global Internet Ventures by New York-basedGlocap Search LLC.
