Placement agent Atlantic-Pacific Capital has hired Alex Hurst in the firm’s London office as a vice president. Hurst will focus on project management, deal execution and client servicing. Prior to Atlantic-Pacific Capital, Hurst worked at Partners Group in London and Switzerland.

Greenwich, Connecticut-based Fieldpoint Private, a wealth advisory and private banking firm, has hired Thomas J. Haug as a managing director and senior adviser. Previously, Haug worked at First Republic.

Specialty investment bank Hycroft has hired Tom Bratkovich as a managing director. Bratkovich will head Hycroft’s San Francisco office and provide coverage for the U.S. West Coast and some Asia-Pacific markets. Prior to Hycroft, Bratkovich was a director at LP Capital Advisors.

Specialist private equity fund administrator Ipes has appointed Mark Coppin as operations director for Ipes UK. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Coppin joined Ipes from Langham Hall, where he was in charge of the private equity reporting team, advising clients in private equity funds, venture funds and funds of funds.

Kirkland & Ellis has expanded its Houston office with the addition of transactional lawyers William W. Bos and Anthony H. Speier III.  Bos joins from the Houston office of Vinson & Elkins LLP,  while Speier formerly was at the Houston office of Baker Botts LLP. Kirkland opened the Houston office in April with the hire of M&A partner Andy Calder.

PENSCO has appointed Stephen J. George to its board. George is the founder and managing partner at Panorama Point Partners. PENSCO is a custodian for investors who actively invest in alternative assets via self-directed IRAs.
