Ventizz Capital Partners, a German private equity firm, has held a final closing of Ventizz Capital Fund II with commitments of €60m.
The fund closed just six months after being launched and follows on from Ventizz I, the 2000 fund, which focused on early and later stage technology. Ventizz II differs from its predecessor in that it will invest in developed and mature high-tech firms.
The fund will target companies in German-speaking countries, and will have a particular focus on secondary direct investments. Two investments have already been made, in ErSol Solar Energy AG, a German solar cells producer, and SAF Simulation
Forecasting Analysis AG, a German forecasting software developer.
The Camelot Group acted as placement agent for Ventizz II.
