Vision Capital raises new fund

Vision Capital, the London-based investment firm specialised in acquiring entire private equity portfolios, has raised a €350m committed core fund, Vision Capital Partners VI. Structured as a limited partnership, the new fund is expandable through a series of parallel investment vehicles. Vision Capital expects the fund eventually to amount to €1bn, according to a press release.

This flexible structure allows for transactions varying from €20m to more than €500m of equity.

Some 80% of commitments came from existing partners, of which Goldman Sachs Asset Management remains the largest partner.

In the last three years, Vision Capital has acquired portfolios from Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and Legal & General, committing €375n of equity.
