Zurmont Madison closes

Zurich-based private equity firm Zurmont Madison Management has reached a final closing on its latest fund, Zurmont Madison Private Equity, exceeding its €135m target.

The latest fund closed on €165m, and is focused on the financing of succession solutions and buyouts of established small to medium sized industrial consumer goods companies in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Zurmont Madison Private Equity makes controlling investments in the course of successions of family-owned enterprises and of management buyouts/buyins, as well as corporate spin-out situations.

The investors in the fund include Swiss and international institutional investors (55%), Swiss pension funds (23%), as well as private individuals and family offices (22%). About 55% of the investors are from Switzerland, the rest are based in Europe and the USA. The first closing of the new fund occurred at the end of May 2007.
