Private equity firms – September 1, 2014

Brookside Equity Partners has hired Richard T. Dell’Aquila as a managing director. Previously, Dell’Aquila worked at Parallel Investment Partners, where he served as a managing director.

Hong Kong-based asset management firm Chartwell Capital has named Joe Wan as a senior adviser. Previously, Wan worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance Ltd.

India-focused private equity fund Everstone Group has hired L. Brooks Entwistle as its new chief executive. Entwistle was most recently chairman of Goldman Sachs Southeast Asia and CEO of the investment bank’s Singapore operations.

Chris White has joined Insight Equity as director of investor relations, the firm announced. Dan Davidson also returned to Insight Equity as a vice president, while Lauren Thomson, Jeffrey Parent and Blake Boardman have joined the Southlake, Texas, firm as associates. Insight Equity said Brecht Allred was promoted to director of marketing and resources, while Lark Rayburn was named private equity coordinator.

Praesidian Capital has hired Wes Owen as managing director. Prior to Praesidian, Owen worked at Fuel Break Capital and G2 Capital Advisors, where he worked as director of capital markets and financial institution coverage. He also formerly headed the credit team at Patriarch Partners from 2007 to 2012.

Pritzker Group Private Capital said that David Gau has joined the firm as its operating partner for the manufactured products team. Gau, 49, previously served as executive vice president of global commercial operations at Gates Corp.

Ridgemont Equity Partners has hired three investment professionals: Charles Anderson and Ben Hosler, who joined the Charlotte office as vice president and associate, respectively, and Mark Pollak, who joined the Dallas office as an associate. Anderson was formerly was a vice president at Crestview Partners, a New York-based private equity firm. Hosler was a mergers and acquisitions analyst at Wells Fargo Securities. Pollack was an analyst in the technology investment banking group at William Blair. The firm also promoted Seth Peck to vice president. Peck has been a member of the team since Ridgemont’s inception as an independent firm in August 2010. Ridgemont is a mid-market buyout and growth equity investment firm.

Southcross Energy Partners has added Jason Downie and Wallace Henderson to its general partner’s board of directors. Downie is the co-founder of Tailwater Capital, while Henderson is a managing director at EIG.

TriVeda Capital said it named Raman Iver a managing director based in Bangalore. Iyer will oversee the firm’s pan-India real estate activities, including capital deployment, equity/debt financings, structured vehicles and third-party asset management. Iver was previously director of asset management at ASK Property Investment Advisors, a subsidiary of ASK Group.

Vector Capital has hired Jim Murray as chief financial officer. Previously, Murray worked at Blum Capital, where he served as a CFO and chief administrative officer.
