TCRS approves $560m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three private equity vehicles.

Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System approved $560 million of private equity commitments across three investment vehicles at its January 2021 investment committee meeting, a contact at the pension informed Buyouts.

The commitments comprised $200 million each to Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners X and Whitehorse Liquidity Partners IV and $160 million to Roark Capital Partners VI.

As illustrated below, TCRS allocates 8.1 percent of its full investment portfolio to private equity. The pension’s recent private equity commitments have been mainly to venture capital and buyout funds focused on investments in North America and Europe.
